Notes on Anti-Pandemic Measures and Nucleic Acid Tests during Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2020

In compliance with anti-pandemic requirements, the Organizing Committee has been in communication with the Health Bureau during the preparation for the Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2020, and has developed and implemented preventive measures according to the relevant guidelines. For instance, participating teams must follow the timetable arranged by the Committee during the practice period; crowd control measures will be applied in the athlete and spectator areas; and all individuals including participants, spectators and staff members must undergo body temperature checks, present ‘Macao Health Code’ and wear face masks upon entering the venue.

Recently the Organizing Committee has been notified by the Health Bureau that all participating team members including the manager, coach, and athletes are required to undergo the COVID-19 nucleic acid test. Therefore, the Committee is coordinating with participating teams as required and arranging for them to take the test free-of-charge at the nucleic acid testing station in the Taipa Pac On Ferry Terminal.

To ensure the safe conditions for running the Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2020, the Committee will pay close attention to the development of the pandemic and make timely preventive arrangements based on the guidelines issued by the Health Bureau.
