Press Conference Held for 2026 CTA Tour SJM Professional Final (Macao) and National Tennis Championships
2026-10-13

The press conference for the 2026 CTA Tour SJM Professional Final (Macao) and National Tennis Championships was held at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. Sponsored and co-organized by SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”), the tournament will take place from November 30 to December 6 at the Macau Tennis Academy, marking the sixth consecutive year that Macau has hosted this year-end event.

The event is organized by the Tennis Administrative Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Sports Youth Program Center of the Central Radio and Television Station, the Chinese Tennis Association, and the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, with support from the Publicity, Culture and Sports Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR. It is sponsored and co-organized by SJM and co-hosted by Chinese Tennis Sports of Beijing Co., Ltd. and the Macao, China Tennis General Association, and is operated by Beijing CTA Tour Sport Management Co., Ltd. and International Media Port (Shanghai) Culture Development Co., Ltd.

Established in 2020, the CTA Tour first brought the year-end final to Macau in 2021 with SJM’s support. SJM has since served as the event’s title sponsor for six years in a row. The 2026 season commenced in May in Changzhou and includes stops in Qingdao, Beijing, Foshan, Jinan, Datong, Chengdu, Shanghai, Karamay and other cities, before culminating in Macau. Hosting the event for a sixth consecutive year underscores Macau’s growing capacity to stage major tournaments and strengthens its position in the Greater Bay Area’s sporting landscape, while promoting regional integration through sports and culture.

The event will feature men’s and women’s singles and doubles. Unlike previous editions, which employed a group stage followed by knockout rounds, this year’s competition will follow a knockout format throughout. The singles fields have doubled, with 32 elite athletes each in the men’s and women’s draws, promising heightened competition and greater spectator appeal. A distinguished assembly of China’s top tennis players will gather in Macau to compete for the titles, delivering high-caliber matches to audiences nationwide.

This year’s field is particularly strong, with Wimbledon Women’s Doubles Champion Guo Hanyu and renowned Chinese player Sun Fajing both returning to Macau, adding considerable excitement to the event. Guo returns as a Grand Slam

hampion, while Sun’s consistent performances make him another player to watch. Their participation further strengthens the field and builds anticipation for the tournament.

In 2026, we will keep deepening tennis cultural exchange in the Greater Bay Area and once again bring together a top-tier coaching lineup. We can't wait to see these young players leave it all on the court and push past their limits this year.”
